BG Seabass rods have been rehoned and remain the ideal partner for the reels of the same name. These powerful blanks have been designed in HVF carbon wrapped using x45 carbon technology for heightened resistance to compression and torque as well as a faster return to true. Featuring Fuji Alconite Concept O guides, BG rods cover all sea fishing situations with a span of sizes running from 2.13m to 3.2m and casting weights going from 5 to 120g! Historically, BG stands for Black Gold and with a classy colour scheme to match that heritage, these rods feel like top-of-the-range kit. The carbon reel seat, gunsmoke guides, carbon detail on the butt, and black finish on the whipping ensure the quality of the design equals that of the carbon build.

Technology:
X45:
- This manufacturing process involves layering spiral carbon fibres (90°), unidirectional fibres (0°) over three layers and two layers of carbon as helicoidal opposites (45°). These two crossed layers give the name Bias Cross Wrap.
- The wrapping of X45 guarantees true elasticity: a return to the original shape of the blank irrespective of the angle of load.
HVF:
- A reduction in the quantity of resin used and increased carbon fibre adhesion during the hot-polymerising stage.
Exclusive Reel Seat:
- Daiwa’s engineering department has developed Daiwa-exclusive reel seats which fuse innovation with Fuji® elements.
FUJI O Guides:
- Fuji O Ring guides boast an aluminium oxide ring and a modernised frame – lighter still than the previous generation.

Daiwa BG arrived undamaged, brand new, packed in a hard cardboard roll with all labels and in perfect condition. Daiwa BG is manufactured X45 technology and I would recommend it to everyone. The only problem is that there is no end cap at the bottom of the stick to prevent damage.
Sea bass fishing rod

I've got 1oz, 2.4m model - seem to be OK for the price. Fast action, reasonable backbone. A bit cheap reel seat and eva handle does not have a plastic cap on its end, so you will scratch it placing rod on the rocks, which is the only thing i would mention as a problem in my case. Have not tested it on the water yet, so can't tell a lot about casting and fish holding capabilities.
