Original OXIO, Sakura introduces YOU the featherweight reel that was missing its range. We wanted to avoid use of magnesium based machining which is expensive and dangerous due to the risk of fire from the moment the melting point is reached (400 ° - 600 ° C) during the cut.

This is the reason why the choice of the Japanese engineers who have developed the OXIO CTise decided on a ´carbon-titanium´ alloy, which the largest automobile builders (Pagani, Ferrari, etc.) usually use in aeronautics and the construction of ´concept cars´.

This alloy offers a very smoothness of ´lightness / strength´ and a remarkable weight gain, between 20 and 30% compared to a reel made of aluminum or metal enla- tion.

The rigidity and resistance to oxidation are also very good. In terms of mechanics, it is that of the OXIO, which has been successfully experimented for several periods, which has been imposed.

In addition, the shape and material of the bobbins have been adapted and present a profile, ideal for fishing.

In this new configuration, the weight of the coils changes from 19 g in the OXIO to 15.5 g in the CTi model, which represents a significant lightening and allows to generate higher rotational speeds.
