This reel will fit different diameters of braided cord. Recommended range is 0.18 mm to 0.24 mm. It is better to use an 8-core braided cord. If you fish from the shore with a wobbler, jig head and other moving bait, then it is better to use a 0.18 mm cord. With this diameter you will have a further cast and it is enough for active fish over 3 kg. I recommend using Power Pro brand braided cord. It serves perfectly for more than 2-3 years and rarely gets tangled. These are practical observations. Happy shopping and happy fishing!

The C3000 FI, C3000 HGFI, 4000 FI, 4000 HGFI, or do you recommend another one? Hello. In general, a good reel for the money. Quite a lot is used inside plastic parts. If you also plan to fish at sea from the shore, you will have to service it much more often. Sea water destroys it very quickly. 3000 spool is quite suitable for your fishing.

any size, but if you have taken a 3000 reel, I would go with a x8 braid at least from 0.10 to 0.15, then it depends on the preys you have to target. remember to spool a monofilament base before the braid, otherwise the spool will remain too empty, I remind you that it contains 130mt of 0.30.

I think the 5000 version is heavy for trolling and will wear you out after a few shots. I have caught many bass with the Shimano Catana 3000 and 2500 HGFD. I also think that the Nexave FI in the same capacities is a very good choice.

Yes, it is the latest model, it is definitely for saltwater predators, it has a very fast recovery, 5.8: 1 for a 5000, I bought it and I feel good, used with 0.20 braids and lures over 20gr.
