The STC Mini Tele spinning rod is exactly what you expect: a very compact rod that can be taken anywhere. The transport length of the 180cm rods is not even 30cm, and the longest rods of 270cm have a transport length of only 40cm! Because of the insanely short transport length, these rods fit perfectly in your backpack when going out for a hike, or in the bicycle bags when going out cycling. There are eight different rods available from light up to medium casting power. The shorter series are great for fishing in small streams for e.g. trout and chub, whilst the longer series are also perfect for fishing in a bit larger waters with a float and some bait or just casting medium to small lures. When looking for a compact rod that can cast heavy baits, we recommend you the the STC spinning.

XT Carbon:
- XT Carbon is used in the entire range of Shimano rods. The number following the XT (XT100) indicates the quality of the carbon fiber used. The greater the number, the stronger the carbon. Where different types of carbon are combined to create the required action, both numbers will be shown (XT60 / 40).

- Shimano NANO carbon is used to build rod blanks which are on average 35% stronger and 15% lighter than a conventional rod blank. The heart of a NANO rod is made of a NANO carbon sheet. This sheet has a special weave which allows to use a low amount of resin which is spread to very small (nano) particles throughout the sheet. This creates the lightness, strength and responsiveness in the blank.

Shimano stc mini spin 2,40m 3-14gr.

Shortly arrived within the indicated terms, not bulky with a maximum length of 45cm. Composed of a soft outer casing apparently with excellent resistance where inside there is a rigid semi-open cylinder in which the barrel is located. The casing allowed me to keep a size 3000 reel mounted with a second spare spool and with the possibility of also inserting a small bait box. As soon as possible I will try the rod which in any case the brand is already an indication of an excellent product having other products of the same brand.

It is very compact, it fits in any backpack, a ridiculous weight, I think it is an incredible rod for any trip in which you cannot take a two-section rod

Pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the package in advance. Very good product which corresponds perfectly to the specifications that I had in mind, small size with a superb protective cover, very discreet to be able to take it everywhere. Quality material, quite versatile and beautiful. I really enjoyed using it (height 1.80m). A very compact carrying bag that fits inside the backpack or can be attached with a clip to the outside of the backpack or to a belt. The transport bag also comfortably holds the Shimano fishing Sahara RD 1000 open reel, reel spare reel, and Abu Garcia Lure Box Mini I bought with this rod.

Superb travel rod

Purchased the 2.4 meter fishing rod, arrives within a travel case (that could fit the reel and perhaps some lures - separate case is required). First thing that is striking is how tiny it actually is: indeed, under 40cm! The disassembled rod consists of 3 parts in total, the telescopic sections, the handle for the reel (is assembled to the telescopic part via very tight pressure fitting, hope this won't break... carbon... go figure), the third part is some extra handle part, which should be screwed to the reel-handle section. Very lightweight, just ~125 grams. Build quality seems really nice!
