The STC Multi length rods are unique in the market: you can adjust the length of the rod to the specific circumstances where you are fishing at! The length of the rod can be adjusted just after the handle with an extra 30cm. When fishing close to some trees and you want to cast very accurately, a shorter rod length is preferred. However, when you suddenly see an open place and see some fish feeding in the surface, you will really appreciate the extra length, making it possible to cast further and reach the fish. With seven different rods in the series with casting weights from 3-14g up to 50-100g, there is always a suitable rod for you.

Technology:

XT Carbon:
- XT Carbon is used throughout the Shimano rod range. The number following the XT (XT100), denotes the quality of carbon fibre used. The higher the number, the stronger the carbon. Where different types of carbon are combined to create the required action both numbers will be shown (XT60/40).

Shimano NANO carbon is a technology which is used to build rod blanks which are on average 35% stronger and 15% lighter than a conventional rod blank. The heart of a NANO rod blank is made of a NANO carbon sheet. This sheet has a special weave which allows to use a low amount of resin which is spread into very small (nano) particles throughout the sheet. This creates the lightness, strength and responsiveness in the blank.

Let's start from the outside... a nice case that protects the rod + a medium-small reel. The rod is well made for under €100, light with good finishes and goes well with braid. I chose the size 5-25 which for the 3 meters is the softest. I am very satisfied. And I think I will also get a lighter one even if it will be shorter.

This rod arrived 2 days after expected But that is not a problem at all I have yet to use it But it appears very solid I will be taking it to Nassau in April I think this pole has enough backbone to bring in some very large fish I am looking forward to giving it a go I do have one concern As I assembled the pieces they seemed very stiff and would not push all the way down to seat completely I believe that in time they will Can't wait Dan

Excellent spinning, easy to transport. Can be used in different conditions, two spinning rods with different lengths in one. There is not enough rag cover so that each knee is separate from each other and does not beat on the next one, but I will ask for nothing, they will sew it for me.

It comes with a nice carrier back that wasn't mentioned in the description. Good casting action and the construction is really good. Once you see the joints, you will know what I mean, you can trust that this rod although in many pieces will hold up to the challenge of a big fish.

When I bought the rod in March 2023 it came with a protective case that allows the rod to be stored with a reel attached. This is not a rod tube as such but, in my opinion, does protect the rod in transit. For reference there is no separate “Rod bag” so to prevent the various parts rubbing against each other I wrap them in a small towel which the supplied case accommodates happily. Trust this is useful. Regards David

Yes it does, it´s 700mm long and has a compartment built in for a reel if needed, there is also a couple of places that can be attached too a rucksack if required. Hope this helps
