What is a captain´s armband?

The captain´s armband is simply a piece of cloth that the captain of the team wears on the arm to distinguish himself from the rest. The bracelet basically shows a symbol that can be the emblem of the team or the regional flag. During a soccer game, each team is assigned a captain. In addition to being the team leader, the soccer captain has many other responsibilities in the game, such as leading the other players, communicating with the referees, and strategizing. Therefore, in order to be identified by others, the captain player must wear an armband which is usually worn around the biceps. Adidas, Uhlsport, Hummel and Umbro offer the best captain´s armbands.

The captain of the soccer team can be any player, including defenders or goalkeepers. The captain has additional responsibilities compared to other outfield players. Captain´s armbands are available in a variety of different designs and colors, and can be transferred to another player if the captain is substituted or injured during a match.

Types of captains bracelet

The bracelets are of two types:
The captain wears international armbands during matches between countries. Each team captain must wear the same armband issued by the international committee or UEFA organizing the event.
League armbands are worn by captains to play in the league. These armbands feature club logos and are often available in different patterns and colors.
