The Spitfire Seabass series is a truly comprehensive range of rods. Covering everything from shore or boat for all beginners looking to get hooked on sea lure fishing with purpose built equipment. If the name gives away the main target of these rods, it wont stop you using the longer models (1002XH, 1102XH) for shore jigging setups for all predators, getting plugs into difficult areas, or getting into the bigger waves off the beach. The 702 MH and 802 MH models are ideal for cast-and-retrieve styles with small plugs and softbaits. The 742HMH model is ideal for soft baits fished under the boat and is an all-terrain rod par excellence. The 802HXH works perfectly for soft lure work from open or pilothouse boats - it has the length to work over the freeboard - but can also join the 902HXH and 962HXH in your quest for bonito or bass with jigs and heavy plugs fished cast-and-retrieve style. The 702XH lets you use big soft lures and jigs on the vertical from the boat.

A beautiful, soft reed with a somewhat slow action. My 2.10m and 7-28gr specimen allows me to cast small lures very far but being soft I would not recommend it for darting. For black bass fishing it is an excellent rod for the price it has.
