What is the difference between 1000 and 2000 versions? Is it only spool size, or 2000 is more strong and robust under the hood?

Really its just the spool size. What i would say is they are good value and look good. On the plus side the drag is good (makes a nice noise as well) you get a spare spool. The slower retrieve is great for trout. Negatives. The reel design isnt great for using braid or mono with a really thin diameter (had this issue with a few nomura reels) thinner lines tend to catch under the spool and if there is an anti twist mechanism it doesnt work as well as other manufactures. If your fishing static with mono above .16 fine but moving lures, starting and stoping was problematic. Great for floating sbiros with floating mono
