Thanks for the previous reply, I would like to buy two Daiwa Powermesh Telescopic Surfcasting Rods and wanted to ask you if this reel is suitable for them, or if there are other better ones in the same price range. Then I wanted to ask you if you can send me the link to other compatible spools and nylon threads that I can load into them, because I can´t find them myself and I´m afraid of making mistakes, thank you, regards.

Hi, I don´t know these rods, I have 3 of these reels and they work very well on mine. In this price range, I would say it is the best compromise. There are a thousand types of nylon threads, this depends a bit on personal taste. If you are new to surfcasting I suggest you start with a little bigger lines to practice casting, I would say a 0.25 then I would move on to a 0.18 and slowly go down to 0.14-0.16. I use 0.14 Onda mille.

Hi, I bought 4... two for boat rods and two mounted on Maver 150 gr for fishing in the mouth. I loaded them with a 0.35. For me, the price and quality are excellent

The reel comes with only one spool which, for me as a competitor, is too deep. Consider that the 0.18 will comfortably fit you 350m, too much. I bought other shallower coils (Tica 1.5) and also compatible plastic conical ones. With these I am able to put 250m of 0.16 as I like. I hope my answer can help you.

Hi, the reel comes with a single spool with a capacity of 0.28/285 m, 0.30/250 m, 0.32/220 m. Personally I purchased additional low capacity Teflon coils on sale on the site for €4.99.
